Privacy policy
Last updated October 8, 2026
ClickLancer isn't open yet. Right now this site only collects what you give us when you join the waitlist, and we use it for one thing: telling you about the launch. This page explains the details.
Who is responsible for your data
The data controller is [Legal name of the person or company running ClickLancer], [Postal address, including country]. For anything about your data, email privacy@clicklancer.com.
What we collect
When you join the waitlist we store:
- your email address,
- whether you want to find work, hire people, or both,
- the date and time you signed up and agreed to be emailed, and which version of this policy you saw.
We don't ask for your name, and we don't use analytics, advertising pixels or tracking cookies.
Like every website, our hosting provider records basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type and the page requested. These logs are used to keep the site running and secure, and are kept for a short time only.
Why we use it, and on what legal basis
- Waitlist emails. We email you about ClickLancer's launch and early access. We do this because you agreed to it when you ticked the box (consent, GDPR Article 6(1)(a)).
- Planning the launch. We look at how many people want to work versus hire, in total, to decide what to build first.
- Server logs. We rely on our legitimate interest in keeping the site secure and working (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)).
We never sell your data or share it with advertisers.
Who else handles it
The site and the waitlist are hosted by Vercel Inc. in the United States, which stores the data on our behalf under a data processing agreement. Transfers from the EU and UK to the US are covered by the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework and the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
We also keep a copy of each signup in a private repository on GitHub (GitHub, Inc., United States), which only our team can access. The same transfer safeguards apply.
Before we send our first email we'll choose an email delivery service and name it here. We'll only share your email address and nothing else with it.
How long we keep it
We keep your signup until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. If ClickLancer doesn't launch, we delete the whole waitlist. Signing up for the waitlist doesn't create a ClickLancer account; if you open one after launch, a separate policy will cover it.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, send it to you in a portable format, or stop using it. You can withdraw your consent at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any email, or by emailing privacy@clicklancer.com. Withdrawing doesn't affect emails we sent before.
We'll answer within one month. If you're unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the data protection authority where you live or work. In the UK that's the Information Commissioner's Office.
Cookies
The public site doesn't set any cookies. A password-protected preview area for our partners sets one strictly necessary cookie to remember that you've entered the password; it isn't used for tracking.
Children
The waitlist is for people aged 16 and over. If you're younger, please don't sign up.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If a change affects how we use your email address, we'll tell you by email before it takes effect.
